What I Bought in October 2025

This month, I visited Selfridges for a private shopping experience to round out my wardrobe for the season. I first discovered this shopping experience last year. I booked it for Andrew to get a few outfits for our wedding events and was so impressed that I booked one for myself, and again for one of our Atlas Adventures trips. Every visit with my stylist, Nivaldo, at Selfridges has been seamless, fun, and wildly impressive. It turns shopping into a far more enjoyable experience, regardless of how you feel about the sometimes daunting task of shopping. Here are the highlights of a private shopping experience:

Skip the Crowds

Avoid the crowds with a private entrance and your own personal, serene shopping suite (you can join them on the shop floor or relax in comfort while they go pull pieces for you.) Shop freely while your arms stay light and your style stays elevated. No lines. No chaos.

Free Expert Styling Advice

My stylist has a highly trained eye. He studies your body type, reaches for pieces you’d never pick, and creates looks you’ll fall in love with. Nivaldo has stretched my style and taught me which silhouettes best flatter my body - it has been life-changing!

Complimentary Alterations

With this shopping experience, you’ll enjoy complimentary alterations so everything fits you perfectly to make each piece uniquely yours.

Sip While You effortlessly Shop

Enjoy tea or champagne as you explore your curated selections in your private suite. Every purchase is sent directly to your hotel or home. What normally takes weeks of searching online or in-store is accomplished in a single, curated session.

For anyone who finds shopping overwhelming, this is a true game-changer: calm, creative, and completely private. I never want to shop any other way! These are exactly the kinds of insider moments we love arranging for our clients. The kind that turns a trip to London into a story you’ll remember every time you open your closet! What I bought in October

As I mentioned earlier, Nivaldo has really pushed me to add different pieces to my wardrobe, and I am so happy I trusted him! I purchased these silk trousers that I paired with this new vest that I wore on our Atlas Adventures trip to the South of France (shown above). I cinched the waist with a belt (similar one here) and a pair of black slingbacks (similar here). I also wore this white knit midi dress that I got so many compliments on (shown above)!

As a luxury travel advisor, I’m often invited to events where the dress code is cocktail attire, so to round out this portion of my wardrobe, I went for this faux leather midi skirt (shown below and paired with the same vest and belt), this ruched maxi dress, an off-the-shoulder midi, a pair of wide-leg woven trousers, and these leather trousers.

Outside of my shopping experience at Selfridge’s, I added two new pieces from Sézane to my fall wardrobe. Last week I hosted an event in Nashville at Sézane’s pop-up and had the most delightful time seeing old friends and Atlas community members! For the evening, I paired this patterned skirt with this new blouse. Sézane has the most lovely silk blouses with lace detailing. They’re perfect on their own or paired with sweaters and jackets.

Even if you aren’t planning a trip to London, be sure to check out your local department stores and boutiques to see if they offer this service. Many flagships, such as Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue, offer styling services. Whether it be a one-off for a milestone event such as a wedding, or seasonal sessions to update your wardrobe, you won’t regret this luxury experience!

Europe’s New Summer

Once the month everyone avoided, August is now the unexpected opportunity for Mediterranean travel. With June and September in high demand and soaking up the spotlight, August has become a little quieter, yet still offers the best of summer weather. It’s the sweet spot for summer escapes.

The Comeback of the French Riviera

The Riviera is having a true renaissance. Glamour, elegance, and effortless coastal charm are back. St. Tropez leads the glamorous revival, with Monte Carlo and Cannes basking in the glow.

The Rise of “Un-Instagrammed” Luxury

Privacy is the new prestige. Travelers are seeking places so discreet they barely appear online, some even ban cameras, keeping the experience for those truly “in the know.” That’s where a well-connected travel advisor and our insider relationships make all the difference, opening doors to places you might never find on your own.

Passion-Led Escapes

From padel tournaments in Portugal to couture shopping sprees in Paris, travel is becoming deeply personal. Your interests and passions are no longer just part of the trip, they’re becoming the destination itself, shaping where you go and how you experience it.

Squad Goals

Friends, families, and like-minded groups are traveling together more than ever. The new luxury? Curated experiences shared with your inner circle: private yachts, wine estates, and villas designed for connection. If you want to join an already curated group trip, our Atlas Adventures is for you!

Solo Sojourns

More travelers, especially women, are setting off alone, choosing ultra-personalized, luxury itineraries for reflection, freedom, and discovery. Working with a trusted travel advisor means any worries about traveling alone are met with expert guidance, insider connections, and peace of mind. We design safe, seamless, and inspiring solo trips that let you explore on your own terms.

South Africa Still Shines

From epic safaris to coastal escapes and wine country charm, South Africa keeps climbing the luxury hot list, blending wild adventure with world-class indulgence. We specialize in crafting unforgettable South African itineraries that bring it all to life.

What I Bought in September 2025

Living in a London flat teaches you what actually deserves space in your life. You become a master of editorship: of your wardrobe, your furniture, and all the things in between. Everything must earn its place. I’ve become more intentional over the years about what makes it inside my wardrobe. I lean towards classic, tailored pieces that will last many seasons. As we enter the fall season, I needed to refresh a few of these everyday pieces. Here’s what I recently purchased to round out my wardrobe.

classic staples

The brand that takes up the most real estate in my wardrobe is without a doubt Sézane. I fell in love with this brand many years ago, and I keep returning to it anytime I need a wardrobe refresh. In case you missed it, I shared my favorite Sézane essentials in this blog post. For fall, I added a Gaspard sweater in ecru to my wardrobe. The Gaspard is one of my favorites and was one of my first purchases with the brand. I have it in many colors and was excited to add this neutral color. I also added the Clyde coat in a new colorway. Chocolate brown is on trend again this year, and I was looking to add this color to my fall and winter wardrobe.

I added a few pieces from the brand With Nothing Underneath that will see me through any season. I purchased the relaxed fit Weekender button-up in green that I paired with the matching boxer for a chic matching set this summer. I plan on wearing the mustard-stripe version with jeans and trousers this fall.

New to me u.s.brands

When I was in the States towards the end of summer, I did a bit of shopping while there and have already incorporated a few items into my early fall closet. I have heard wonderful things about Jenni Kayne from several friends, but it was previously unavailable in the UK. Luckily, they recently opened a pop-up shop in Selfridge’s. Their Mercer crewneck in camel and the Demi pants in oatmeal are perfect for the transitional season we’re in. I fell in love with the sea salt color of the oversized cashmere crewneck, and I look forward to wearing this cozy sweater later this fall and into winter.

While stateside, I also purchased a few pieces from La Ligne. The Ben cardigan has been perfect on its own and will be a great layering piece as well. For when the weather turns colder, I thought the Marin sweater in cream. I wore these Colby pants on our honeymoon, and I have a feeling I’ll be wearing them on many travel days ahead (peep them in the photo above). They’re so comfortable while also looking polished.

Transitional Footwear

I have had several pairs of Margaux shoes over the years and they’ve quickly become some of my favorite shoes. The Pointe and Woven Demi Flats are my go-to in the fall and spring seasons, so I felt confident that adding the Woven Paz would be a great addition. I went with black this time as the other pairs are in the saddle color. For summer, I love their MX Sandal and the Wrap Sandal. You really can’t go wrong with this brand! While not from Margaux, I did want a new pair of sneakers for travel days so I purchased these two-toned sneakers from Miu Miu.
